Best Buddy Hamish Pig

Hamish -

It is mighty fine to meet you, my name is Hamish and I'm a pig and I love to dig! And if you're really lucky you may even get to see me do a really cool jig! Yes, I know I can be funny and I really do enjoy life, well life as it is now if you know what I mean. You see life wasn't always good for me, while my early days are a bit of a blur I do recall ending up at the RSPCA and things were not looking to good for me at all. I overheard the other animals whispering about something called BACON and saying "poor little pig" and shaking their heads. No one wanted me, well that's not entirely correct, when the good folk from Edgar's Mission heard about my plight they immediately said that I could come and live with them. And to show my extreme gratitude I decided to become an ambassador.

Although I didn't really know what one was at first and I was really still a bit scared, it didn't take me long to work out these were the good guys and it didn't take them long to work out I was one mighty smart pig. Before long I had them giving me treats every time I sat or raised my trotter for a trotter shake, those humans really did catch on fast! Oh, you should see their faces when I stand on my very own stump (it has my name on it you know) and raise my trotter in the air, high five like. They just go crazy!! People stand around clapping and I feel famous, it seems I can do no wrong.

Speaking of wrongs, I have made it my personal mission to right the wrongs that are happening right now to millions of pigs and other farm animals. Did you know that for many pigs they will never get to enjoy the life and love I do, in fact for most of them their lives are not even worth living. All they will have is cold barren concrete and the only chance these poor souls will get to see the sunshine, smell fresh air or take more than a few steps is on the last day of their life as they are trucked off to that horrible place from which no pig ever returns.

. You see most pigs do not have protection from acts of cruelty, their only hope that their lives can change for the better rests with people like you who refuse to buy the products of their suffering. I hope that once you get to know me and my farm buddies you will realise that us animals are for lovin‛ not the oven!

Do you want to be a Best Buddy to Hamish?
