If not for you…

If not for you the sun would not shine for farmed animals like Carl Lewis, Melvin, Louisa-May and  all their buddies here at Edgar’s Mission.  They owe their lives to the many caring people who have supported our life saving and changing work and share our belief that humans can do better.  Since our inception we have worked tirelessly to change the world for farmed animals. Our direct hands-on rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, as well as our education and advocacy work, seeks to remind people that regardless of the form animals come in and our familiarity with them, all animals need and deserve our compassion and kindness.

With tax time around the corner we invite you to consider a tax deductable donation to Edgar’s Mission to ensure that we can keep on keeping on for animals.  The next 12 months, in addition to being on hand for animals in need, we wish to greatly expand our advocacy work on behalf of farmed animals.

Projects planned include:-

• A veterinary critical care ward.  This unit will include special flooring and walls for ease of disinfecting,  and stainless steel recovery cages for post surgery care.  As well as a secure storage area for drugs, medications, drenches and associated animal accessories and an autoclave for sterilization of equipment.
• A new state of the art van which will double as an animal rescue and transport vehicle as well as an education unit.  Our current van is over 20 years old and is getting prohibitively expensive to maintain.
• Three exciting campaigns.  We cannot tell you more about them now but we are very excited about their prospects to create effective and meaningful change for the way people view farmed animals.
