Visiting Edgar’s Mission

Meet the residents and hear their stories.

In order to maximize our given 24hrs in a day we have streamlined our tour times of the sanctuary:

For interstate, bus and school groups we will do our best to accommodate you. Please email or phone to check availability.

There will be no tours for the winter months of June & July due to the cold and unpredictable weather.

Please note all tours MUST be pre-booked and are subject to change as sometimes animal medical emergencies or rescues arise and these will naturally take precedent. We thank you in anticipation of your understanding.

Finding us – Please do not rely on GPS’s to find us, they tend to find weird and wonderful ways we have never heard of. For directions please see our Directions Page.

Edgar’s Mission is set on 60 peaceable acres in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range at Willowmavin, Kilmore, in the state of Victoria. It is a not-for- profit sanctuary and home to rescued pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, goats, calves, ducks, horses and an assortment of cats and dogs.

A visit to the Mission is very special.

Walk the unique “Kindness Trail” along which you will find quotes to challenge, inspire and just make you smile.

Have a relaxing time at the Peace Abbey and enjoy a picnic lunch whilst watching the waterbird habitat from the gazebo. (Please note that at this stage the Mission does not provide catering for human visitors so please pack something to eat and drink however, out of respect for the animal residents, we request that you do not bring meat products.)
