Visiting Edgar’s Mission

Please note Edgar’s Mission is closed for farm tours for the months of June and July due to the cold and unpredictable weather.

Meet the residents and hear their stories.

We regret to advise that due to the exponential increase in our workload we have to reduce our tour times to Wednesdays at 1.00pm sharp and some weekends as advised.  Please check for availability and note all tours must be prebooked – we ask that you do not arrive at the farm unannounced as we do not wish to disappoint.  If you are visiting from interstate we will do our best to accommodate you but do ask that you try for the Wednesday tour.  We thank you in anticipation of your understanding.

Tour times of the sanctuary:

Please note all tours and visits to the farm MUST be pre-booked and are subject to change as sometimes animal medical emergencies or rescues arise and these will naturally take precedent. We thank you in anticipation of your understanding.

Finding us – Please do not rely on GPS’s to find us, they tend to find weird and wonderful ways we have never heard of. For directions please see our Directions Page.

Edgar’s Mission is set on 60 peaceable acres in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range at Willowmavin, Kilmore, in the state of Victoria. It is a not-for- profit sanctuary and home to rescued pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, goats, calves, ducks, horses and an assortment of cats and dogs.

A visit to the Mission is very special.

Walk the unique “Kindness Trail” along which you will find quotes to challenge, inspire and just make you smile.

Have a relaxing time at the Peace Abbey and enjoy a picnic lunch whilst watching the waterbird habitat from the gazebo. (Please note that at this stage the Mission does not provide catering for human visitors so please pack something to eat and drink however, out of respect for the animal residents, we request that you do not bring meat products).

Please note we are not a petting zoo and do not host children’s parties.
