Somewhere

A journey of a thousand kindnesses begins with a single pig…

Right about this time on the 10th of May in 2003, I grabbed my car keys and in the company of my best little buddy, ET Good Doggie, we set off on a journey to collect a pig. A journey that has certainly been one hell of a ride. Please sit back and watch this clip that has seen me reach the destination of somewhere.

  1. Awwww I luv you Pam and everything Edgars Mission does and stands for. You have many many friends and supporters.
    Keep the dream alive.

  2. You have accomplished so much! Your sanctuary is so expansive, these animals are truly blessed to have been saved. You have put your heart and soul into this and I love looking at the animals in the posts, what a beautiful part of OZ you are in.I’m so happy someone could have accomplished this, everything so clean and the animals are well tended. There is a large sanctuary in the US but not nearly enough. We are fighting for our wild horses, the sale of public lands for oil drilling.Your video shows how man and animal can co-exist but we in the US are losing hope.Keep up the good work and the pictures .Do you ever get a Holiday? Cheers to you and the staff.I exist on a small pension since I can’t work anymore.I’ve sent a few small donations every now and then.I loved to help more but I can barely keep up with rising costs.I have 6 cats and they are a handful. They were all rescued.

    • I too sit at work during my break shedding tears.. thankyou Pam & all your wonderful team at EM, you have taught me so much!! … and yes I too am proud to be part of The Somewhere…

  4. Thank you Pam.As a Mother and now Grandma i have bought my children up to be kind and respect all animals. Now my grand-children will learn the same love and respect for all animals. I am so proud of you, for all you do for animals. The barbaric cruelty in the live export is a disgrace and i will never understand why some humans can be so cruel. Jo

  5. beautiful, can’t wait to be living in this place it feels so close for the whole world. Keeping the theme from my FAVOURTIE musical…
There’s something due any day I will know, right away / Soon as it shows / It may come cannonballing down through the sky gleam in its eye, bright as rose.

  6. Thank God for you Pam, and all your helpers. If only there were more like you and your beautiful heart. There are so many of us who love all animals, but I think we are outnumbered. Keep on keeping on Pam. I do support you with a regular donation, but I wish it was more. I send my love to you, your supporters and of course the animals. Val

  7. Once again, I am reduced to tears seeing the images of beautiful animals loving life with their offspring – as it should be. I am and always will be a moral and financial supporter of animals, and am proud to be part of Edgar’s Mission extended family.
Thank you, Pam, for making this possible.

  8. What a wonderful and touching story I have just watched and what an important and truly kind work you, Pam, and all from Edgar’s Mission do! I have been admiring Edgar’s Mission and all your activities for several months and can affirm that you definitely touched my heart and made me maybe a bit better. Thank you for this and God bless you and your kind hearts!

  9. You’re an inspiration Pam. What you’ve achieved in creating Edgar’s Mission is amazing! Thanks for all you do for our animal friends :)

  10. Every time I look to see what Edgar’s Mission is up to I remember that first time I found your site. Always been an animal lover and will continue to help those in need. Pam, you opened my eyes to a lot, now a Vegan and softly encourage others to try. I even like Vegemite now!

Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary! You and your staff are such an inspiration and thanks for all you do.

  11. Such a beautiful and heartfelt video and message. You are a true inspiration to me and the world in so many ways Pam. Thank you for being so courageous, brave and kind. Thank you for all that you do for all the fortunate animals that find their way into your haven for them. I want to visit Edgar’s Mission sometime very soon. Michelle McClurg

  12. A very beautiful video, thank you for taking the time to make it and give to us.
It’s so inspiring and warming to see the images, particularly the adult sheep with leg splints – reminds me of the lifetime support and dedication to every living being at EM, to live as well, healthy and comfortable for the term of their natural lives.
I bet it’s a lot of hard work at times….but when you too also get to look at this and other videos I hope you get a full glowing sense of the amazeballs you all are, every day in every way.

Love love love to you all
    Leonie

  13. I look forward every day to the posts from Edgar’s Mission! I am delighted, inspired, grateful, and occasionally horrified by some of the stories of neglect and cruelty towards animals that you have rescued.
In my heart of hearts I look forward to that day, hopefully in the not too distant future, when everyone looks at every animal and sees a “someone” and not a “something”.
Thank you all for your wonderful commitment, and for the work that you do.
    Happy Anniversary!
