The Two Ronnies
28th May 2010
The Two Ronnies became a hit comedy series in the 70’s and 80’s starring Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. Having met in a club the two went on to delight millions with their unique sense of mirth and merriment. While ever popular are hit comedy duos, popular are not vocal young roosters resulting in the Two Ronnies Roosters being unceremoniously dumped at a Children’s Farm. With no room for them at the ‘Inn’ a call was made to Edgar’s Mission. Their fate was sealed when we arrived to pick them up and we saw the sign that had been placed above the box they were in, ‘yeah!! We are going to Edgar’s Mission’.
The Two Ronnies Roosters instantly became a hit sensation on their arrival at Edgar’s Mission. Almost inseparable are these spectacularly colored bantam sussex roosters who delight visitors and volunteers with their cheeky antics. Having decided upon being the unofficial policemen of the sanctuary, they busily and bossily chase after any creature they feel is in the wrong place at the wrong time. And none too shy are they at ‘crowing’ in their ten cents worth whenever anyone is heard calling out around the farm. Full of their own diminutive importance is this pair as they patrol the farm, chests puffed out and heads held high and heaven help any unsuspecting hen – they have even been known to lie in wait in a nesting box awaiting the arrival of an unwitting hen.
